Between 2010 to 2013 the Trust worked with a range of partners to deliver the Fryston Woods Access and Improvement Project.

We employed a Woodland Access Ranger to work within the local community to encourage use of three local sites: Fryston Wood, Well Wood and the Fryston Country Trails.

This project was funded by Natural England’s Access to Nature Scheme through the Big Lottery and was match funded by the Three Areas Project, through the Joint Public Health Unit (Wakefield District PCT & Wakefield Council).

We won a national award for our partnership working on this project.
