From 2008 to March 2013 Castleford Heritage Trust were based within Bridge Arts, a community and arts venue on Sagar Street.

We managed the day to day running of the centre, a community café and offered a regular arts activity and exhibition programme.

Here we displayed the work of internationally renowned Cuban artist Carlos Garaicoa, and worked in partnership with the Henry Moore Foundation to host an exhibition about the early life of Henry Moore, who was born in Castleford.

We refurbished the building with funding from Coalfields Regeneration Trust between 2009-2010.

The Bridge Arts project ran until March 2013; Castleford Heritage Trust purchased and moved into Queen’s Mill in April 2013.
