Help at the Hub services for the Castleford area are run from Queen’s Mill.


Services on site include:

Citizens Advice drop-in sessions

  • Every Wednesday morning, between 10am-12pm, Citizens Advice Bureau offer a drop-in session at Queen’s Mill where local people can have a 1-to-1 meeting with a trained advisor.
  • Citizens Advice can provide support and information on a wide range of issues. See Citizens Advice for more information on their work.
  • The Wednesday Citizens Advice drop in is allocated on a first come first served basis on the day.
  • Outside of this service Citizens Advice also offer phone support on: 0808 812 7134.
  • Enjoy a free tea/coffee when accessing this service.

Help Hub drop-in sessions

  • Every Wednesday morning, between 10am-12pm we have our Help Hub drop-in sessions.
  • Talk to visiting organisations such as the Leeds Credit Union, Age UK, Groundworks Retrofit and Healthwatch UK to get help and advice related to the rising Cost of Living.
  • Enjoy a free tea/coffee when accessing this service.

Information Centre

  • Queen’s Mill has an Information Centre in our Reception area with a wide range of leaflets, posters and booklets from local health, community and tourism services. This is a drop-in resource and is open to everyone.

Support with ordering and printing supermarket vouchers.

  • Do you have a supermarket voucher from Wakefield Council to support you with the rising cost of living?
  • Don’t have internet access or a printer?
  • Visit Queen’s Mill and we will support you to access your voucher to be used at a supermarket of your choice.

Castleford Heritage Trust are open to other community support services being run from Queen’s Mill and are hopeful that additional services will be able to follow in the future.
