The
Castleford Heritage Quilt
Where: 2 Sagar Street
Help create a Castleford Heritage quilt showing the links between the
town's past, present and future. The project seeks to involve people
of all ages. This is an on-going project and there will be more events
throughout 2008.
The
Castleford Heritage Quilt was launched on Friday, with people embroidering
squares about their connection to Castleford.
The quilt will provide a visible, growing example of the living history
in Castleford and show the links between the town's past, present and
future.
Things that can be commemorated on the quilt include:
birth
marriage
birth of your children
siblings birth, marriage
It is also possible to embroider in memoriam squares as a tribute to
deceased relatives.
