FREE TIME TRAVELLERS WORKSHOPS

Sat 23rdth January 2010 Family Workshop - Decorative Food - Sweetmeats

Some of the workshops include:-

Writing with a pen and ink - Writing through time. Participants will be given the opportunity to handle original documents on various types of paper and participants can have a go at writing using various historical methods including writing on papyrus, quill and ink and wax stylus.

Decorative food - Sweetmeats. Participants will be given the opportunity to handle original moulds and decorations used for making and displaying food and also to have a go at making a range of sweetmeats.

Printed textiles - From woodblock to digital printing. This workshop includes an historical overview of key developments and techniques in textile printing. Participants can handle original fabrics and woodblocks and are given the opportunity to have a go at printing using wood blocks on either fabric or a "bag for life" canvas bag.

These workshops are FREE but booking is essential.
